The project revises situationist’s theories of urban transformation and appropriation of public space through the lenses of gender inequality, specifically under the perspective of women. The objective is to take women’s walking as a political act: using psychogeography experimentations on two women’s daily routes in the city of São Paulo (Brazil) paired with posters applications that intervenes in the urban scenario. Through both (routes and posters) it is intended to prove the limitations of the universality of citizens liberal conceit and delimit in what levels gender inequality curtails the right to the city of those who don’t fit the ideal citizen standard. Therefor the project questions in what way can the architectural debate reapproximate society and politics in light of gender, race and class issues that still restrain full democratic right to the city.
