Monumento Ser Fronterizo, a cultural and cross-border representation of Ciudad Juárez

The article carried out a case study on the motivation that led the artist Jorge Alejandro Pérez Mendoza to decide to create a public work of art within the urban spaces of Ciudad Juárez. Likewise, the process of elaboration of the Monument to the Border is exposed, which lasted five years to complete the construction activities of the piece and the plaza that houses it. In addition, the relationship that the context of the border city has with the different meanings and themes that are represented in the physical structure of the sculptural work is analysed.Downloads
