Abstract

This article proposes to reflect on the correlation between the urban insurgency, evidenced by the literature in recent years, and the logic of organization of feminist groups that seek to have their voices heard and rights guaranteed in urban dynamics. From a brief analysis of the literature, together with the analysis of the occupation of the “Mulheres Mirabal”, organized by the Olga Benaro Movement, in 2016 - city of Porto Alegre/RS, we sought to understand how occupations that have similarities in their organizations are authentic actions to serve populations marginalized and how this dialogues directly with the legitimacy of the act of occupying, through the analysis of this specific object. Another point is how an occupation made up of women, for women, sees questionings and critical situations, built from an androcentric society, and how they fight to defend the rights of vulnerable women.
