Antonio Giménez Fernández

Associated Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Almería (Spain). He obtained his Industrial Engineering degree from Madrid Polytechnics University (Spain) and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Carlos III de Madrid in 2000 focused on climbing and construction robots. Now he is a member of the Automatic Control, Robotics and Mechatronics research group of the University of Almeria and Andalusian Government. He is an expert on the application of modeling, automatic control, and robotics techniques to robotics rehabilitation, safe energy and education. He has participated in several Spanish and European research projects, and I+D+i tasks with many companies. He is member of IEEE, and was the coordinator of the IEEE-RAS Spanish Chapter, between (2008-2012). Now, he is the Coordinator of the GtRob at CEA. He has more than 120 publications including: 23 scientific journals (JCR index), and 4 international book chapters. Too, he is inventor of 4 patents (2 transferred to companies).
