José Luis Blanco Claraco was born in Linares (Spain), on November 6th, 1981. He received the European Ph.D. and the M.Sc. Electrical Engineering in 2009 and 2005, respectively, from the University of Málaga (Spain). Until 2012 he taught as a Lecturer at the University of Málaga, as a member of the MAPIR lab. At present he is an Associate Professor at the University of Almería. His research interests include robotics, computational dynamics, estimation theory, and computer vision. He also had the pleasure of visiting the MRG lab (Oxford, 2008) and the LIM lab (La Coruña, 2013). Lead developer of the Mobile Robotics Programming Toolkit (MRPT) since 2005.
