The Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra held the event «U-Green: The Role of Education for a Greener Future» on October 18th at the Esmeralda Pereira Coelho Amphitheater of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (ISCAC-IPC).
The purpose was to promote the U-Green project, a university cooperation partnership aimed at promoting the green transition and sustainable practices in the field of education and training. This project involves the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra and eight other European partners, including Spain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy, Iceland, and France, as part of the new Erasmus+ program. The project aims to foster green skills among a new generation of European citizens and is based on the idea that Education and Training Institutions can be the primary drivers of the mindset and behavioral changes required for the transition to a circular, digital, and climate-neutral economy.
