Emma Delgado received the Physical Sciences (Industrial-Automatic) degree, with degree end extraordinary Award, from the UNED, and the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering (2001) from the University of Vigo. In 1992 she joined the University of Vigo, where she has been Assistant Professor since 2003, in the area of Systems Engineering and Automation. She has taught in numerous subjects of automatic regulation, theory of automatic systems, control engineering and advanced control techniques at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Past and current lines of research include, on the theoretical side, non-linear control, observer design, stability, delayed systems, and reset and hybrid systems. On the applications side, she has worked in control of electromechanical systems, haptic teleoperation, and control and estimation of vehicles.
