Rebecca Nordio completed her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering in 2018, followed by a Master’s degree in Chemical and Industrial Process Engineering in 2020 at the University of Padova, Italy. Her prior research activities were carried in P&G Brussels research centre, where gaining experience in the framework of machine and deep learning modelling. In 2021, Rebecca joined the University of Almeria, Spain, as a PhD candidate as part of the Marie-Curie Innovative Training Network “Digitalgaesation”. The project involves nine universities and four industrial partners from eight European countries, with a total of 15 Early Stage Researchers participating. At the University of Almeria, Rebecca’s PhD project regards the modeling and optimization of microalgae-bacteria based wastewater treatment
processes.
