Award description:

We live in increasingly multicultural societies, especially in the more dynamic regions of the word.
However, adjusting to the current reality is still an outstanding challenge.
Given the importance of this issue and taking the opportunity that the 8th International Conference on Intercultural Education and the 1st International Conference on Transcultural Health offers, the Centre for Migration Studies and Intercultural Relations (CEMyRI) pretends to encourage and acknowledge the quality of those contributions that raise awareness about the importance of changing attitudes and motivate and promote conviviality in the intercultural coexistence.

For this reason, CEMyRI organizes the first edition of this award on Intercultural Educational Intervention and Research in which works of educational experiences and research carried out either in educational centres or healthcare establishments during the years 2016, 2017 y 2018 will be considered for this recognition.

The main theme will be focused on works conducted in the area of intercultural awareness and prevention to avoid stereotypes, prejudice and rumours towards people belonging to different cultures.

  1. Educational experiences or institutional strategies on raising awareness.
  2. Studies that analyze the elements involved in the relationships of coexistence and interaction among teenagers and young adults.
