Lecturer at the area of Applied Physics in the University of Almería (Spain). He obtained his MSc Degree in Physics from Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Granada in 1997, focused on atmospheric and solar radiation modelling and characterization. After a previous experience in thechnological companies, he lead the low temperature applications area at the Plataforma Solar de Almería. Currently he is a staff member of the Automatic Control, Robotics and Mechatronics research group of the University of Almeria. His main research interests are related to applications of solar energy to buidings and agroindustries, having experiences on modelling and analysing of solar thermal and photovoltaic plants for energy supply to cold stores, greenhouses farms, food factories and other agriculture related demands. He has participated in several Spanish and European research projects, and I+D+i tasks with many companies. He is member of ISES International Solar Energy Society and he currently belongs to the National Stakeholder Groups (NSGs) of the EU funded project INSHIP («Integrating National Research Agendas on Solar Heat for Industrial Processes») He has participated in more than 200 publications including articles in JCR indexed journals and communications to international congresses and technical meetings.
