Abstract submission

Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and be based on original work. Should give full information on the objective, materials and methods and major results obtained. English is the official language of the Symposium. So, only abstracts written in English will be accepted for review. Abstracts must NOT contain tables, pictures or diagrams. All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use. Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling (English) and grammar.

Abstracts will be submitted through ROSA – Responsive Online System for Acta Horticulturae. To submit an abstract, it is mandatory to have a valid ISHS user account. More info on ISHS membership can be found at: https://www.ishs.org/members

Submission as first author is strictly limited to a maximum of two presentations per registered person (either oral or poster). However, a person attending to the Symposium may coauthor other presentations as far as the first author is registered too. Abstracts submitted by April 1st 2023 will be considered for evaluation. Authors will be notified of provisional acceptance of abstracts by April 15th 2023 and informed about the form of presentation as oral or poster. If abstracts require modifications, authors must submit the modified abstract by May 1st 2023. Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation (both oral/poster) are expected to register for the symposium. Therefore, to be finally accepted and presented in the Symposium, abstract authors must be registered with confirmation that they have paid to attend the Symposium, by August 31st 2023.

The submission period will start at September 1st 2022 and close at April 1st 2023. Check other important dates. Please, be sure you indicate which session fits better to your abstract and indicate also your preference: oral or poster. Please note, if an overwhelming number of oral presentation submissions are received or based upon the type of the research work and content of the abstract, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to offer poster presentations for some of these abstracts. The poster size is 70 cm wide, 100 cm long (vertical orientation – portrait)
